Round 6 Review

Harlequins stun Kruisfontein

Harlequins put in a clinical performance at the Adcock stadium to beat defending champions Kruisfontein United in what was a very entertaining match. Harlequins’ fast ensured they pulled of a win in a match where they led  from start to finish, they now occupy a top 4 spot and Kruisfontein got dumped out of the semi final spots.

Gardens vs Barbarians

Gardens just cant stop winning! It was once again a spectacular performance by the green machine as they beat the visitors convincingly, in a great display of running rugby. The men from Kariega secured the all important bonus point win. Barbarians remain winless after 5 matches.

Trying Stars vs Brumbies

Trying Stars picked up their 3rd win of the campaign against Brumbies in their derby. Trying Stars have always been a formidable force at home and backed that up by beating the in form Brumbies team. Both teams will be fighting for a spot in the top 4.

Progress vs Star of Hope

Progress have secured their spot at the top of the log for at least another week as they get revenge on Star of Hope for the pre season defeat. Progress will look to continue to build on this performance. Star of Hope has shown flashes of brilliance this season, but still fail to take full of advantage as they now slipped down on the log.

Joubertina vs NMU

Joubertina playing their second home match in as many weeks, put in a composed performance to beat the students from NMU. Joubertina sit just outside the top 4 while NMU played in their first match of the competition due to student commitments.

It was a good round of rugby and we were almost spot on with out predictions, getting 5 out 6 correct for this match week, the only miss being Kruisfontein United. The race for the semi final spots are on with little separating the teams on the top half of the log.
